EVENT: ICFP Youth Pre-Conference

Hosts: Bill and Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health with the International Youth Alliance for Family Planning

The 2022 ICFP Youth Pre-Conference will bring together young leaders, innovators, and professionals from around the world to create a space for young people to lead and meaningfully engage, share, and learn to contribute to professional and personal skill-building to support their work to advance the sexual and reproductive health, rights, and justice (SRHRJ) agenda forward. Core values around human rights, inclusivity, justice, identity diversity, and gender equity will be at the heart of this convening, as we celebrate the diversity of youth identities and promote the creativity, innovation, and leadership of youth throughout the field.

Registration: In order to receive your invitation to reserve your seat at the Youth Pre-conference, you must indicate your interest in attending the Youth Pre-Conference in your ICFP registration. The invitation to the Youth Pre-Conference will be emailed to the address you utilized to register for the ICFP. These Youth Pre-conference registration passes will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.


EVENT: Galvanizing Momentum and Commitment for Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Self-Care Across the Humanitarian-Development Nexus

Hosts: IRC and IAWG

The International Rescue Committee and IAWG will co-host an invite-only ICFP pre-conference event on galvanizing momentum and commitment for SRH self-care in humanitarian and fragile settings.

Consultation Objectives:

  1. Describe the current status of SRHR self-care, inclusive of FP, SAC, MNCH, HIV/STI, GBV, implementation and research in humanitarian and fragile settings.
  2. Identify key gaps and opportunities for SRHR self-care in humanitarian and fragile settings.
  3. Develop an outline for a Call to Action and Roadmap to support donors, implementers, researchers and policymakers to fill gaps, leverage opportunities and achieve commitments identified during the meeting.
