Training Modules on Sexual and Reproductive Health in Emergencies: An Introduction to the Minimum Initial Service Package (MISP) for Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH)

Overview

In 2019, IPPF in collaboration with IAWG, published three training packages based on the revised 2018 Minimum Initial Service Package (MISP) for Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and related resources including the previous SPRINT training package.

Together, the training modules – tailored to three different audiences – form a comprehensive capacity development approach. The modules include:

These training packages are designed to support facilitators with delivering face-to-face training workshops on SRH in emergencies and the MISP. All training packages are in English, however, Spanish and French service provider training materials are to come in late-2023. Each training package consists of:

  • A facilitator’s manual;
  • Handouts with practical exercises;
  • An agenda; and
  • A slide deck.

Sexual and reproductive health services remain critical during COVID-19

IAWG members and partners are producing clinical and programmatic guidance, assessments, policy papers, and statements to ensure continued prioritization of sexual and reproductive health and rights throughout COVID-19 response in humanitarian settings.
