Inter-Agency Reproductive Health Kits 6th Edition - Manual

Overview

UNFPA is glad to inform colleagues that the 6th edition of the IARH kits is now under production!

Please note:

  • Partners should continue to procure the 5th edition kits until 31 March 2021.
From 31 March 2021, partners should base procurement requests using the revised 6th edition.
  • There will be a period of time when UNFPA Procurement Services Branch (PSB) will work with partners to deplete the stock of the 5th edition kits. When a procurement order is placed PSB will work with partners to ensure clarity and agreement on which edition of the kits they will receive.
  • There are now three wholesale suppliers for the IARH kits. When making a procurement request, PSB will continue to ensure that the correct logistics information and documents required for customs clearance are issued to the country office.
  • New IARH kit manual, IARH kit calculator, IEC materials, order forms, distribution plan, and feedback forms have been developed along with the 6th edition kits.
  • The English, French, Spanish and Arabic versions of the documents will be disseminated in the coming weeks and all documents will be included on the IAWG website.

This 6th edition revision of the kits, based on 2019 clinical updates, is significant both in relation to clinical practice and in relation to structure. Based on feedback from country, regional, and headquarters UNFPA personnel, IAWG users of the kits, and other humanitarian health agencies, this revision not only addresses clinical gaps in care but works to address logistics bottlenecks experienced at the national level.

Launch Webinar

In order to ensure all inter-agency users of the IARH kits understand the significant changes to the kits, UNFPA hosted a roll-out webinar together with the IAWG Supplies Sub-Working Group. The webinar specifically targets IAWG partners who are users of the IARH kits in the field.
