Overview

Providing comprehensive sexual and reproductive health (SRH) care to all, including those affected by crises, is an overarching goal of the health sector. Over the years, however, implementing a planning process in crisis-affected settings for achieving comprehensive SRH service provision (Objective 6 of the Minimum Initial Service Package [MISP] for SRH in Emergencies) has proven to be a challenge.

Join us for a webinar on how to use the Planning for Comprehensive SRH in Crisis-Affected Settings: A Participatory Workshop Toolkit to Transition from the MISP. We will learn from colleagues’ experiences leading workshops in Bangladesh, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Yemen, and how the planning process contributed to strengthening health systems and resilience for SRH.

Webinar participants will:

  • Learn how to use the Planning for Comprehensive SRH in Crisis-Affected Settings: A Participatory Workshop Toolkit to Transition from MISP, which facilitates a step-by-step participatory planning process for comprehensive SRH services in crisis-affected settings.
  • Learn from colleagues as they share how their experience implementing participatory workshops and collective work plans strengthened resilience for SRH in Bangladesh, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Yemen.
  • Identify key considerations and good practices for successful comprehensive SRH planning and implementation processes.

This webinar is co-sponsored by IAWG and UNFPA. It is part of the IAWG Emergency Preparedness and Resilience Sub-Working Group’s technical webinar series, which spotlights tools to support preparedness and resilience for SRH at community, national, and international levels.
