Introduction

Founded in 1995, the Inter-Agency Working Group (IAWG) on Reproductive Health in Crises is a global coalition of organizations and individuals committed to advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) in humanitarian settings. The IAWG works to expand and strengthen access to quality SRHR for crisis-affected people worldwide. Our members form a highly collaborative and diverse network of more than 2,500 experts from 122 countries and territories.

The IAWG occupies a unique role in and across the humanitarian space by leveraging its technical expertise, cross-collaborative relationships, and insights from member organizations to:

  • issue evidence-based technical guidance, standards, and tools;
  • document and generate new evidence, disseminating these findings to policy makers, managers, and practitioners; and,
  • advocate for the inclusion of SRHR in humanitarian policies, programming, and funding and for the inclusion of humanitarian populations in development agendas.
