Disability Inclusion in Child Protection and Gender-based Violence Programs

The Women’s Refugee Commission launched four resources to support disability inclusion in child protection and GBV programs. These resources are products of a recent partnership with UNICEF Lebanon, called “Strengthening child protection and gender-based violence prevention and response for women, children, and youth with disabilities.” The project’s goal was to improve violence prevention and response programming for at-risk groups of women, girls, and boys with disabilities. The tools were developed based on findings of a needs assessment conducted in 2017, which examined existing resources related to GBV, child protection, and psychosocial support for disability inclusion, as well as the gaps and opportunities to strengthen current programming efforts.
