Community-based Approaches to Intimate Partner Violence: a Review of Evidence and Essential Steps to Adaptation

This World Bank report highlights several community-based, primary interventions proven to alter attitudes and behaviors towards intimate partner violence in low- and middle-income countries, including: SASA!; Somos Diferentes, Somos Iguales; Stepping Stones; and Engaging Men to Prevent Gender Based Violence, amongst others. Six steps to adapting programs to different settings are provided as an annex to guide organizations and program staff during the design and implementation of similar community-based interventions in their unique contexts.
